Q. I've submitted my application / resume. Now what?
A. At 5:00 p.m. on a job posting's Submission Date, that job is removed from the list of open positions and no additional applications / resumes will be accepted. All applications / resumes will be submitted to the appropriate department for screening and review. A member of the hiring committee for that position will then contact the most qualified applicants to request a personal interview. Generally, if you have not heard from us within two weeks after the Submission Date, you have probably not been selected for that position.

Q. I am interested in two job openings. Do I need to submit a separate application / resume for each position?
A. Yes. Because the Court posts jobs for several different departments and locations, there is probably a different hiring committee for each position the Court has available.

Q. Will my application / resume be kept on file to be considered for future job openings?
A. Your application / resume will be kept on file - FOR THE JOB FOR WHICH YOU APPLIED - for six months.

Q. How often does the Court post new employment opportunities?
A. Positions are posted as they become available, which means that the list of open positions changes almost daily.

Q. Do you accept applications / resumes for positions that are not yet available?
A. The Court will only accept applications / resumes for posted positions. The only exception is for the position of Judicial Law Clerk / Staff Attorney - interested applicants may send in a resume at any time to be placed in a file. The file will then be reviewed by any Common Pleas Court Judge who has an opening for a Law Clerk / Staff Attorney.
